Tandem Teach is an AI workbench for UK primary teachers. We don’t add more tools for the sake of adding more tools. We give you better tools that respect your judgement, your curriculum and the small humans in your care.
Why we exist
Teachers were promised time. They got more tabs.
The AI rush arrived in classrooms as a flood of chat windows and generic prompt boxes. Designed for everyone, made for no one. UK primary teachers deserve better than that.
Have you tried using AI for something that sounds simple? A maths worksheet for a Year 4 class, a report comment, a reading comprehension. Sometimes it works. More often, it… almost works. You find yourself thinking: “maybe just one more prompt and it’ll get this.” You tell it the language needs to fit children, not students. You tell it to stick to the right curriculum level. You ask it, please, to stop with the em dashes. Eventually you realise it might have been quicker to do it yourself.
AI edtech was rushed out at pace, sold on empty promises of time-saving brilliance. But it wasn’t built for real primary school classrooms. That’s why we built Tandem Teach, and it’s why we’re still building it now. Not a shiny demo from people who’ve spent more time on marketing than in the classroom — a real classroom version.
Everything we make is shaped to fit UK primary teaching. We check that the content is safe. And we have real teachers making sure the outputs are something a teacher might actually use.

UK primary quality
All our outputs are aligned to the curriculum you choose. We build for the Early Years Statutory Framework and the National Curriculum for England, and we’re building for more. No generic US training cribs allowed.
The teacher is in charge
Tandem creates drafts, ideas and resources, but teachers decide what’s right. Nothing reaches a child without you signing off. We show you the AI’s reasoning so you can decide if it’s doing what you want.
A few promises
Things we will never do with your account.
- We will not train AI models on your prompts or your generated content. Your work is yours. Full stop.
- We will not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to third-party AI vendors, not to anyone.
- We will not let unsafe content through. Eight checks stand between any output and your classroom. They are non-negotiable, even though they make us 10–12 seconds slower than our competitors.
- We will never let child PII (Personally Identifiable Information) escape your browser. All our tools are designed to replace names with generic placeholders before going to our server and before hitting our AI tools.
Because safe, useful AI for teachers isn’t something you finish once and walk away from. It has to keep getting better.
